Illinois Bass Anglers

August 12^th brought the Illinois Bass Anglers to Nagawicka Lake in Delafield Wisconsin for the first time.  The suburban Milwaukee lake had a past reputation for good numbers of Largemouth and Smallmouth bass.  Unfortunately, nobody mentioned the considerable numbers of pleasure boats, sail boats and jet skiers that populated the lake on every late summer weekend.   In hindsight, it should have been expected, but the boat traffic made the lake fish even smaller then its diminutive 900 acre size.  Only the team of Bob and Jim Blumenstein were able to boat a six fish limit.  Their 9.3lbs was just barely enough weight to capture 1^st place.  The Blumenstein’s are sponsored by Professional Center Dental and Reliable Copier, both located in Bolingbrook.  Second place and Big Bass honors went to Team Kotsakis and Gofron bringing 5 fish tipping the scales at 8.53lbs.  Tom and Kevin are sponsored by their loving and understanding families.  Third place with 3 fish weighing 5.61lbs went to the team of Bob Bobich and Dan Borkowski.  Bob and Dan are sponsored by Kastilic Canvas and Gino’s East of Naperville.  Kevin Seme and Kurt Schumacher caught 3 fish weighing 5.02lbs. Kliff Shinn and Mark Fosterud caught 2 fish weighing 3.72lbs.
