Big Green gets the best of the Illinois Bass Anglers during the fourth stop of the 2007 campaign. 

Confidence was high after most teams found great success with multiple patterns for both Large Mouths and Small Mouths during practice.   As Sunday morning rolled in with some unexpected cloud cover and a slight chop on the water, visions of 20+ pound bags were floating through most anglers’ heads.   Then Big Green put the clamps on and the bite got tough.  Only the team of Bob Bobich and Dan Borkowski could find more then 2 keepers that were willing to bite.  Fishing in 15-20 feet of water on an ounce and a half Tru-Tungsten jig, the team bagged 4 Large Mouths weighing 8.62lbs.   More then enough to take first place honors.  Bob and Dan are sponsored by Setyr Rods and McCoy Mean Green Line.  Second place, with 2 fish weighing 3.26lbs went to Jim and Bob Blumenstein.  The Blumenstein’s are sponsored by Reliable Color and Chili’s Grill and Bar of Bolingbrook. Third place, with 2 fish weighing 3.24lbs went to Tom Kotsakis and Kevin Gofron.  Tom and Kevin are sponsored by Founders Bank in Plainfield.  Big Bass honors goes to the team of Mike Stephenson and Jeff Cole.  Mike caught a nice 2.94lbs Small Mouth.  Mike and Jeff are sponsored by Dinner By Design in Wheaton and Mitchell Maczko, D.M.D. in Arlington Heights.   Bud Edmonds and John Yochum caught 2 fish weighing 3.04lbs.  Kevin Seme and Kurt Schumacher caught 1 fish weighing 2.62lbs.  Kliff Shinn and Mark Fosterud caught 1 fish weighing 2.10lbs.
