Rules and Regulations

 

 

1.  All tournaments will be by boat format

2.  All state and local laws will be observed by all participants.

3.  A boat check will be made before each tournament.

4.  Only artificial baits may be used.

5.  No trolling allowed.

6.  No live bait permitted.

7.  Participants must remain in the boat during the tournament (exceptions for emergencies)

8.  Fishing must stop when one angler leaves the boat.

9.  Off limits will be set at the meeting before each tournament.

10.  Ties will be broken by the weight of the largest fish.  If more than one winner, each team will receive the same weight and teams will split the money for that position.

11.  Hours: See tournament date and place.

12.  Launching is the responsibility of each participant.

13.  All boats must have some type of aerated livewell.

14.  No fish allowed on stringers or in baskets.

15.  All protests must be filed within fifteen minutes of the conclusion of the tournament (a tournament is concluded when the scale is closed).

16.  All participants must be members, in good standing, of Illinois Bass Anglers and B.A.S.S.

17.  Any participant found violating any rule will be disqualified.

18.  Safety, courtesy, and sportsmanship must be maintained between all participants, other fisherman, and property owners at all times.

19.  While big motor is running all anglers must have and wear Coast Guard approved life jackets.

20.  No alcoholic beverages will be allowed during a tournament.

21.  A tournament meeting will be held five minutes before start of each tournament.  One person from each boat must attend.

22.  All fish caught will be released.  (Except when arranged in advance.)

23.  No more than two fisherman per boat.

24. 3oz will be deducted for each dead fish brought to the scale.  The dead fish will count, but not for big bass.  Only live fish will count for Big Bass.

25.  Illinois Bass Anglers Club will limit its membership to fifteen boats.

26.  No Pro’s, Guides, etc.  Only amateurs allowed.

27.  A limit of six fish per tournament with two anglers in a boat and 5 fish with a single angler.

28.  One alternate is allowed for each team, only once per year.  This alternate does not have to be a member of Illinois Bass Anglers.
